It will surprise no one for me to say that around these parts, we’re a fan of online dating. We view the proliferation of dating sites like XSocial.com a net positive. After all, anything that makes it easier to meet new, beautiful women is something to be excited about.
Not every dating site offers a great user experience, though. Some sites are infected with viruses, while others are elaborate scams. You have to be particularly careful because some of the worst sites look legitimate. Which is why it’s smart that you’re here. Like our dozens of other dating site reviews that go into our rankings of the best hookup apps, this XSocial review will look into what the site has to offer and if it is worth your time to sign up.
First let’s talk about how we conduct our reviews:
We reach out to a LOT of women and try to set up dates and hookups in the same manner that we’ve had a lot of success with on other sites and apps. We know what works and what doesn’t as long as there are real women on the other end.
After weeks and weeks of use, we compile all the results we had and compare it to the other top dating and hookup sites we’ve tried to put together a complete review. The things we do for you guys, huh?
This is what we found.
Getting the first date can be the hardest part of an entire relationship. First of all, you have to find someone. Do you go to the bar? Or maybe you strike up a casual conversation with someone at work, or at the store? No matter where you are, it can be hard and, worse, awkward.
We want to find an online option that makes things easier. To start our review we compared Xsocial to our current favorite hookup option AFF. It’s where we’ve seen most guys have the best results:
Overall Our team rates each site objectively based on many hours of independent research, the features each site offers, and how it compares with other sites. The ratings are the opinion of our editors and their extensive experience. |

As you can see from the comparison above Xsocial.com does not compare well to the top of the hookup site heap. AFF is definitely a high bar when it comes to the number and quality of women available but Xsocial wasn’t even close.
After weeks and weeks of use the big issues we had with Xsocial were:
When you look through the first page of members that came up from us it looks like the listing for a modeling agency. Did we just find a hidden gem that only really hot women use???
It turns out that even though there are photos of a lot of hot women using Xsocial.com it doesn’t look like any of the profiles are actually real. It’s just too good to be real.
There are plenty of hot women who use dating and hookup sites but it’s HIGHLY unlikely that this many hot women use a site that is this crappy.
Before we even had a chance to put up a profile photo or fill out any information we started getting messages and chat requests. Does that sound likely?
A common tactic we’ve found on other sketchy sites is that they use automated bots that appear to be women and send out messages. This makes guys think that a hot woman is messaging them so they sign up for a paid membership.
We can’t be 100% sure but that seems to be what’s happening here. Once you see that you just can’t trust anything else on the site.
Do yourself a favor and skip this site in favor of the hookup apps that actually work.
My first impression of XSocial.com was strong. Their sign-up page looked professional and welcoming. In the background was a high-quality and sexy photo of a couple making out. They had a simple but smartly designed logo, using a red X connected to “Social” in cursive.
The site’s copy claimed they had hundreds of thousands of members on their site. It was too soon to tell whether that was true or not, but there was promise, at least.
Other aspects were less promising. Over the picture of the kissing couple was a gold seal proclaiming, “Rated the Best Dating Site; 100%; Best Result.” Quite a suspicious claim from a page I’d never heard of, especially as it didn’t say who rated them the best dating site.
At the bottom of the page, they had additional text that presumably was meant to be inviting. Instead, I found it strange:
“XSocial.com invites you into a thrilling world of online flirting where you can meet thousands of fun-loving singles and reveal your incredible flirty side. It’s the best site to find a perfect match for exciting dates. Meet happy people online; share your most secret desires with them in flirty chats. Start flirting online at xSocial.com and see where it can lead!”
The person who wrote that copy sure likes the word “flirt.” It felt odd they’d put so much emphasis on flirting over, you know, actually meeting people.
Before we get too deep into our Xsocial review we wanted to save you a little time. X Social just isn’t very good and the odds you will be successful using it are low (from what we have seen).
Instead, you should give AFF’s free trial a try if you want to see what a hookup app that works looks like. We have tested out and reviewed over 100 hookup apps and they have been the best option for most guys.
They have the largest number of women we have seen and are purely about getting people together for some casual fun. Too many other sites and apps are basically just about dating and not getting down to business.

Once I had created an account and logged in to XSocial, things started to look even worse. The site design went from sleek to cheesy. Their blue and pink color scheme looked like it was for kids, not adults seeking a hookup. Even their menu was bubbly, like it was made for a cartoon website. I didn’t find any of it sexy.
It also seemed like the whole site was a bit incomplete. There weren’t many member profiles popping up. What happened to the 350,000 members they claimed they had on the sign-up page? I didn’t see many options on their search page, either. I almost expected a tumbleweed to roll across my screen like a western movie. XSocial.com felt like a ghost town.
XSocial’s sign-up page bragged that they offer “100% Free Adult Dating”. Well, I’m not sure what they think 100% means. When I finally found a member on their site who I wanted to connect with, I drafted a nice message to send to her. But after hitting “send”, I was taken to an account upgrade page. They wouldn’t let me send the message until I paid for a premium membership.
Many of my favorite dating sites are free, though there are others that charge for their services. The fact that XSocial has premium memberships is not a problem. My issue was that they misled me about the cost of their service. They claimed to be 100% free, and then weren’t at all. Dishonesty in marketing is one of my biggest pet peeves. Sites that pull this kind of stunt usually use other sketchy practices.
Just as my message was being denied because I didn’t have a premium membership, I got a notification in my inbox. A message had come in from the woman I’d tried to message originally: “Your message didn’t get through. Would love to have read it. Resend when you get the chance.”
For a moment, I was excited that at least there was someone on this site. But then I realized she had sent this message almost too quickly. I didn’t even have a profile picture up, so what made her want to message? Any guy who has spent time on a dating site knows it’s never this easy to get a beautiful woman interested.
I was officially suspicious. Whenever I start getting sketched out about a dating site, I go to their Terms and Conditions page to see what it has to say. Sometimes they will have more candid admissions of their schemes in the legal disclaimers. I found this:
“Company Generated Virtual Hottie Profiles (marked with “Virtual Hottie”) are created automatically for marketing, the improvement of the Service, and in order for our members opting for the free Service, to experience the type of communications that they can expect as paying members. The Company Generated Virtual Hottie Profiles encourage conversation between members by making introductions or recommendations or just by chatting with members, for entertainment purposes.”
A “virtual hottie” might sound like fun, but all it meant was there was no one behind the profiles that were messaging me.
Now thoroughly interested in the site’s fine print, I found all kinds of disturbing things. For instance, admitting outright they are not actually a dating site, the text reads, “XSOCIAL.COM is intended and operated only for purposes of entertainment and fun and for no other purpose or purposes.”
I don’t know about you, but when I’m looking to be “entertained,” I’ll play a video game or head out for the night with my friends. In my book, entertainment sites include Netflix and Hulu, not sketchy dating sites. I created an XSocial profile for one purpose: to meet women.
The fine print just kept giving. XSocial.com claimed the right to do pretty much anything they wanted with my personal content:
“[Employees] In their full, complete, and final discretion change or delete or add to any of the contents of your account – by way of example and without any limitation of the foregoing, to remove profane language, to change your listed gender, to remove images or text of any kind, and, in short, to make any and all possible changes in our sole discretion, of any kind or sort whatsoever, for any reason or for no reason, with or without any prior notice. We may even put advertising on your page or in your communications in our Services.”
That’s absolutely ridiculous. XSocial is claiming the right to make changes to any user’s profile for their own, unspecified reasons. I can see no benefit in agreeing to those terms.
The sketchiness didn’t end there. In fact, it was right on the homepage. They had a menu option labeled “Cams”. When I clicked on it, my browser left the original domain and opened up “cams.com”. The page was total trash, the type of site that would steal my credit card info or give my system a virus. I exited immediately.
I always say, never trust third parties. Why would a legit dating site – or entertainment site – try to send you to another site, anyway?
There are a ton of great dating sites in the world, so never settle for less. And XSocial.com is the very definition of “less”. They don’t offer a real free membership, they use fake profiles, and they flat out deny that they are a dating site in their fine print.
Even by the low standards that the site set, XSocial isn’t entertaining at all. Spend your precious time and money elsewhere.
