Of course, it’s not a flawless system. Online dating can be a bit scary at times. It doesn’t help that some sites are less than legitimate. As a result of online dating becoming so ubiquitous, there are plenty of people out there trying to separate optimistic lovers from their money.
How do you know who to trust? Well, you’ve made a smart first move by coming to us. This is how we evaluated this site:
We spent several weeks using both the free and paid version of the site to really see how it works and what it does for guys. That means we actually put our credit card at risk in order to unlock all the features at your disposal. It was scary!
After spending a lot of time going through profiles we started messaging a TON of women and did our best to set up dates and hookups. You can’t just look around a little bit if you want the full story.
After several weeks to put together our results to see just how easy Cheeky Lovers is and if it actually works. That’s where this review comes in
We’re here to give honest, in-depth reviews of hookup sites so our readers can find the hookup sites that actually work. In our CheekyLovers review, we’ll examine if this site can offer a flirty good time or if it’s simply not worth your time.

We had some pretty high hopes going into this review, mostly because we just liked the name Cheeky Lovers so much. We gave it every shot to work for us but that just didn’t happen. Comparing CheekyLovers.com to AFF is a very high bar but you want to see how they stack up against the best.
There were a few HUGE problems that came up in our review of Cheeky Lovers that you need to know about:
As you can see from the image above, moments after signing up for our profile, before we even had anything filled out or a photo up, we started getting bombarded with messages. If you’re a guy, you know that isn’t how this works usually.
Attractive women don’t send messages to blank profiles. Ugly women don’t send messages to blank profiles. Even desperate guys wouldn’t do that!
The simple truth is you can’t trust a site that does this. Especially when you can’t respond until you actually PAY money.
Look at how hot all of those women are! When you’re searching around and only pictures of models are popping up you have to know that something is fishy. There are plenty of sites and apps that have hot women using them but this is ridiculous.
It’s even worse when you actually look at the profiles. They are usually blank or with just a sentence or two. You just can’t trust any of the profiles you see here.
If you can’t trust the profiles and you can’t trust the messages you need to go somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and check out AFF instead where most guys actually find real results.
Now, let’s go deeper into our review to get into the specifics of what we found:
CheekyLovers.com appears with a beautiful first impression. The site is seductive, accessible, and well-designed. When the site loaded, I was greeted by a gorgeous woman looking out from the sign-up page next to text that read, “Join the fancy world of CheekyLovers, the unique dating site where shy singles turn into naughty love hunters!” Cheesy, maybe, but fun.
The orange and white color scheme was easy on the eyes and the logo incorporated a seductive outline of a bikini that was definitely cheeky. More of the site’s copy promised users could, “make your match seeking easier and up to 5 times faster with our advanced search system.”
First impressions aren’t everything, but they do tell you a few things about a site. If a company puts care into their landing page, it generally means they probably put time and effort into other parts of their site, as well. Of course, there was only one way to find out for sure.
While our Cheeky Lovers reviewed started off OK it quickly goes downhill. If you don’t want to read the full review you can skip it and check out AFF’s free trial instead.
Cheekylovers.com isn’t the worst site we have ever seen but it also isn’t very good. They don’t get a lot of people looking for them and compared to sites like AFF that has 60 MILLION MEMBERS they just can’t compete.
As a guy, you need to have a lot of options if you really want to be successful. AFF can give you that and they are also totally focused on connecting people for hookups unlike their main competition Tinder (which is basically just a dating app these days).
You can use AFF for free so we won’t spend any more time trying to convince you. Check them out.
Here is how it compares to the best out there:

Once I had logged in, things took a turn for the worse. The site required I confirm my email address via a confirmation email. Nothing unusual there, but then the instructions advised, “Check your email account’s ‘Spam/Junk’ folder to make sure our email hasn’t landed there.”
Sites that expect their emails to be filtered into spam are often more trouble than they’re worth. I followed directions though and verified my email. Inside, the site layout was still sleek and professional, a bit like a social media site. Oddly, though, it took a very long time to load each page (so much for their “5 times faster” claim).
As I started to look for women who might be matches, I noticed the profiles didn’t have any self-descriptions or anything but a photo and username showing. The design was a little too sleek, I wanted to be able to see more while browsing.
In the initial minutes of browsing, CheekyLovers seemed fine, but a big red flag soon popped up. I started receiving multiple messages right away. I had three personal messages waiting for me within ten minutes of logging on.
Anyone who’s spent time on dating sites knows it’s never as easy as just sitting back and waiting for messages to roll in. It’s hard enough to get a woman to respond to your message, let alone have them send you a message first. Receiving so many messages before even uploading a profile picture was definitely suspicious.
Even worse, when I clicked on the notifications, the site told me I couldn’t read the chats without paying first. They ominously announced, “You’ve got a message, it’ll be deleted if you show no interest.” The site emphasized this warning with a clock ticking down like a bomb about to explode. So I couldn’t even read chat messages without paying for a premium membership?
CheekyLovers did allow me to read my messages, which were, apparently, different from chats. One of them said “Hey, can I count on telling u some of my secrets in a chat? Or do you prefer live meetings?” When I tried to send a message back, I wasn’t allowed to without a premium membership.
If the site doesn’t let its members chat with a free membership, can you even call it a membership? The only privileges of the free accounts were making your profile and looking at other members’ thumbnail pictures. That’s not much of a service.
Usually, the best dating sites are totally free. When a premium membership option is available, it comes with genuine perks, like paying to promote your profile. None of the decent sites claim to be free and then keep you from reading your own messages. That’s a tactic of scam sites. Such sites lure users in by sending a deluge of fake messages right away, hoping guys will pay them money just to read the messages.
I felt pretty sure that was CheekyLovers game.
Now fully suspicious, I decided to do a bit more digging around the site. I quickly realized most of the profiles didn’t even have a self-description. I couldn’t even see basic demographic information like their height and weight without upgrading my account.
Since I couldn’t read about these women on their profiles, and I couldn’t message them to ask questions, I had to look elsewhere. My searching took me to the site’s fine print. On CheekyLovers.com’s terms and conditions page, it explained:
“To boost interaction between our members and in order to notify them of newly registered matches and any activity of that new user . . . we may, from time to time, use an automatic pop up notification system and other communication channels e.g. inbox or instant messages to send Activity Alerts to you . . . All users accept and understand that in order to boost their profile amongst users, such alerts about their registration and account update activity (such as new photos) may be broadcast by us, on that user’s behalf, and users consent to such distribution.”
Now, this may seem innocent enough, but it’s actually pretty sketchy. CheekyLovers.com sends “alerts” that look like real messages. These alerts may be sent from profiles that aren’t even active anymore, without the registered user’s knowledge. So, all of those chats and messages I received were quite likely just spam sent from old profiles.
I noticed another disconcerting thing while reading through CheekyLovers’ fine print:
“By posting information or content including but not limited to copyrighted content, name and likeness and photographs to your profile pages or any public area of the Services, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant to us, our Partner Sites and Group Companies, a non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to use, copy, publish, display, reformat . . . such information or content and to grant and authorise sub-licenses of the same.”
Once again, CheekyLovers had buried some dark information buried in the legalese. Basically, they can do whatever they want with the information, photos, and other messages you upload to their site. They can use them for giant billboard advertisements if they want, and they don’t need your permission.
If there’s one thing every legitimate dating site should offer, it’s the guarantee of privacy.
Sure, CheekyLovers started off strong, with a great logo and pleasingly seductive front page, but like so many first dates, it went off the rails fast. Despite promises of fast searches, the site was actually very slow. Inactive accounts started bombarding me with fake messages. Then there’s the clause in their terms and conditions that permits the site to use user photos for their own profit. None of that sounded like cheeky fun to me.
There is a wide assortment of great dating sites out there. There’s no need to settle for something sketchy like CheekyLovers.com. Premium memberships should be just that, premium; offering actual benefits beyond the basic functions of a dating site. Take our advice, don’t waste your time waiting for CheekyLovers to load when real women are out there on other dating sites.
